Pesto Bread Dipping Oil

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup fresh basil
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp pine nuts
  • 1 small garlic clove chopped
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • 2 kalamata olives
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • bread and additional olive oil for serving

Instructions

  • In a mini food processor, combine the basil, cheese, pine nuts, garlic, salt, and olives. Process until the ingredients form a paste. Add the olive oil and blend.
  • To serve, place a dime sized portion of pesto paste on a small saucer. Pour olive oil over the paste and mix. Serve with bread.
